    Before

Before starting your mobility, you must read the Erasmus Charter: Erasmus Charter for Higher Education – Erasmus+ . This document includes your rights and obligations as an erasmus+ student, so it’s important that you understand its content.

Once accepted your nomination as an Erasmus KA171 student, you must apply through AIRE, the platform for international mobility at the UPV (as explained in the factsheet).

You can find the UPV English Academic Offer at the following link: https://aplicat.upv.es/buscasiupv-app/?p_idioma=i

Once the UPV School has accepted you, we will send you the visa invitation letter. This will include information about the amount of your scholarship and the number of ECTS credits and academic hours you will complete during your stay.

This letter meets the requirements to apply for a visa.

After receiving the invitation letter, you should immediately ask for an appointment at the nearest Spanish consulate or BLS office. To study for one semester at UPV, you must apply for a student D-type visa.

You will also need a travel health insurance policy valid for the whole duration of your stay, which must meet the following requirements:

  • Healthcare and accidents with coverage of at least 50,000.00€.
  • Transportation or repatriation to your country of origin in case of illness or accident with unlimited amount.

ONLY SPANISH COMPANIES WILL BE ADMITTED.

The UPV has an agreement with two insurance companies, allowing you to purchase a policy that meets all the requirements for obtaining a visa and covers your stay.

From the IO, we will help you with the hiring process.

The UPV facilitates a search engine to find accommodation in a shared apartment: Accommodation Search Engine.

We recommend that you not book your accommodation through advertisements on social networks, only through professional agencies or platforms.

VERY IMPORTANT: Two documents must be fully signed before your departure:

  1. The Learning Agreement is signed by you and your home university. This document will agree to your academic activity during your stay at the UPV and will guarantee that your home university will accept all successfully passed activities at the UPV.
  2. The Grant Agreement will settle the scholarship’s economic conditions between you and UPV.

The IAO will provide the templates and assist you in filling them out.

The sending of the following documents before departure is also required:

  • Visa
  • Health insurance policy if you have not contracted it among the proposed companies by UPV
  • Flight tickets
