Mayte Gassó, a professor from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Informàtica at Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), collaborated with Universidad San Francisco Xavier in Bolivia through the Erasmus KA171 program. Her goal was to enhance education and international networking in higher education institutions. Gassó focused on linear algebra and taught how to use the free-use program Scilab, which provides a powerful environment for engineering and scientific applications.

Cristobal Miralles, a teacher from UPV’s School of Industrial Engineering, collaborated with Chulalongkorn University through Erasmus KA171. Their focus was on Sustainable Operations Management, aiming to promote UPV and facilitate networking with Chulalongkorn. The program included seminars, lectures, and research presentations, educating around 50 students on sustainability and ethical business practices. They also set plans for a future visit from Chulalongkorn academics to Valencia.

Elena Taulet, the coordinator of Erasmus KA171, and Chele Esteve, a professor from ETSID (Higher Technical School of Design Engineering), partnered with the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB). Their objective was to enhance international collaboration and create more opportunities for cooperation. They organized various activities including meetings, workshops on the practical application of technology, and campus visits, with a focus on identifying common interests for academic and research collaboration and exchanging best practices.

Supported by UPV, Spanish embassies, and Father Jorge Naranjo, Ayoub navigates communication barriers and bureaucratic hurdles, highlighting resilience amid adversity and advocating for peace in Sudan.
